Appeared on BBC documentary: Black and British – A Forgotten History, Episode 4

Episode 4 of the BBC documentary Black and British: A Forgotten History featured the story of the Three Dikgosi (Chiefs) on the occasion of their visit to Britain in 1895 and the role they played in forming the present day Republic of Botswana from the British Protectorate Bechuanaland. The committee of Botswana Community in the UK informed their members and joined in with the Batswana marching to the Botswana High Commission in London on 30th September 2016 to install a plaque to commemorate the occasion the day before their Bot50 celebration in East London.

The plaque contained the words:
In 1895, chiefs Khama III, Sebele I & Bathoen I toured Britain to protect their homelands from colonisation. Their action led to the modern state of Botswana
